A little more than a year after the Supreme Court ruled that it was illegal to sell Kamagra to women under the age of 18, a man has now been arrested and charged with conspiracy to sell unregistered medicines.
On Friday, 21 September, the court heard how the man, who was also named as the owner of Kamagra, sold unregistered medicines from a supplier, and that it was illegally imported from India and China.
The case was initiated by the Medicines, Poisons and Poisons Board (MPSB), after it was found that the company which was involved in the manufacture of Kamagra was not registered as a medical name. A search of the packet revealed a packet labelled Kamagra, which contained more than 100 medicines and more than 6,000 packs of unregistered medicines.
The MPSB alleged that the supplier, who had supplied the Kamagra to the patients of the company, had used a false name for the name of the medicine, which was then sold to the patients for their own use.
